Prevention, Support and Intervention


Emphasis on strenghtening the capacities of indiciduals and families. Education and prevention services to help in the adaqptation of the military way of life. Evaluation and orientation, short term counselling, crisis support and more.

Services offered

 
Active listening and short-term accompaniment

This service is available for a short period of time for people who wish to discuss personal problems in a completely confidential manner.

Referral to external resources
 

In conjunction with other base services, we offer link and referral services according to your needs.

Relief Care in Emergency Situations
 

Are you facing a difficult and unexpected situation? Do you need someone to accompany you to the doctor’s or to help you at home because you are convalescing?  Contact us and we will do our best to help you.

Workshops
 

We offer you a great variety of workshops related to military life or other fields of interests that you may have.   

Support group for families dealing with Deployment

In addition to other military services, we offer group meetings on topics related to difficult situations.  Through these meetings, we look for information and understanding of various issues while offering a platform for exchange and mutual help.

Emergency Childcare Service

This service aims at maintaining operationnal availability of military members by offering easy access to affordable and regulated emergency childcare services approved by the MFRC.

 Emergency situations

An emergency situation can be caused by a deployment, a military operation, a course or training on a short notice, when the military member does not have the necessary time to put in place his/her family childcare plan.

An emergency situation can also take place when the militairy member is away for more than 24 hours for professional reasons and when the spouse or the regular childcare services provider can temporarily not take care of the child.

 

ECS' role

The ECS Coordinator can help you complete your family childcare plan.  Also, should the persons on your FCP not be available in case of an emergency, the ECS Coordinator will refer you to quality childcare servcies rapidly.

Financial help

Financial help can be allocated to cover for childcare services for a maximum period of 7 consecutive days.  The first 3 days will be reimbursed entirely while the remaining 4 days will partially be reimbursed (up to 50%), acoording to family income.
